A multipotential… dreamer since childhood, explorer today.
My first job was when I was 13 years old as a "little match"; This is how packers are known in supermarkets in Latin America. For any average family, such work could be considered undignified or "poor." In my mind there was no room for shame, I just wanted to earn some money so I could ask the girl I liked out. After 6 months of work, counting my earnings and opening my first bank account, I realized that I had collected around $15,000 Mexican pesos ($750 USD) in coins that filled an entire cabinet in the house. My father couldn't believe it. When I turned 14, a music academy offered me to teach as a teacher and without a second's hesitation I accepted the offer. So I began to generate experience in education with people of all ages.
I was like that for 3 more years of my life; working on what he loved most and reading hard books on metaphysics and spirituality. I needed to be sure that I could still find my mother somewhere in the Universe. Things at home were difficult, as no sensible parent wants their child to become a "Hippie" musician (especially in Mexico where there aren't many decent opportunities for musicians). After becoming independent at 17 years of age, I went straight to work where there seemed to be a "safe" opportunity for economic income: a Call Center. After 2 years of trying to move up in the company, as well as realizing that I was doing what I promised myself I would never do, I decided to drop everything and follow my greatest passion so far: music.
I made some money as part of my mother's inheritance, and right when I turned 19, I began to invest it in building a music school in the center of Monterrey, Mexico. My partner was my best friend, who contributed a modest percentage of seed capital to become part of the project. We spent wonderful and hard moments. The school, Legacy Institute®grew very fast and people really valued our work and educational quality. I made high quality study plans for people who, like me at some point, wanted to study music in a formal and accessible way. This school was transformed into a home for misunderstood musicians of all ages; a big family.
Time passed, and the opportunities became bigger and in greater quantity. Radio and magazine interviews, visits by famous artists to the school, alliances with other schools and sponsorships of recognized brands. So I founded my second business called Mayan Solutions®, which started as a small marketing office with only 3 people hired and provided services to the music school and 2 more foreign clients. I achieved what I considered success when I was 22 years old: I saw myself standing in a 3-story building full of customers happy to purchase the services of my brands. After dozens of books read and the constant practice of "trial and error", I managed to manifest the profession of my dreams and the life I dreamed of during adolescence (the one that society told me to seek obsessively). And guess what... I felt dissatisfied. There was a very unusual emptiness inside of me. The price for fulfilling that dream had also been very high, and there were other external situations that put an immense weight on my shoulders every day. Shortly after, an economic crisis came that forced me to make a very hard decision: to close the school permanently.
I fell into a deep depression… I saw my dreams crumble in front of my eyes. I took my car and drove to a high mountain just outside the city, where I spent half a day talking to myself, telling myself the story of my life, as if I wanted to make any sense of what was happening. Then, what I interpret today as "the voice of my mother's spirit" came from the center of my heart saying: -Life is more than money, business and fame; It is like climbing a mountain and seeing, from the top of it, that there are more other mountains to climb. Don't you realize that you are now free from all that didn't allow you to travel and expand your horizons? So keep going up mountains, enjoying climbing, reaching the top, and going down from it.
The same week we closed the music school I received a job offer at a company called Eco World Building®, dedicated to sustainable construction. I resonated so much with the company's philosophy that very soon I began traveling with the founder to his business meetings. Millionaire figures began to appear in my life and I could see with my own eyes a man with more than 30 years of experience doing business with high caliber companies in the United States and the Riviera Maya. That man became my business mentor and an example of a different way of life. With him I corroborated everything I had read when I was 15 years old about the power of manifestation; I was convinced once again that we are capable of achieving the life we dream of and deserve. So I started to dream big and without limits. I allowed my inner child to guide me, as memories of TV commercials advertising all-inclusive trips to Cancun began to fill my thoughts.
After taking a new "jump into the water" in my life, I decided to move to the Mexican Caribbean, where I settled for almost two years. At first I lived in a room full of cockroaches and musty smell, no bigger than 20 square meters. Then two more brands emerged that would temporarily help me make money: Easy Web and Dronez. You can imagine me sitting in front of my computer working from dawn to dusk in a smelly room, penniless and hungry; Yes, 100 meters from the turquoise sea of Playa del Carmen.
In the Riviera Maya I contemplated nature in all its splendor, feeling for the first time a spiritual call that went beyond what I was used to. After 4 months of working hard to survive in "paradise", a job offer that would change the way I see the world came to me. The NGO Sustainable Mexico, dedicated to Sustainable Tourism in Mexico, needed an art and production director. The founder of the NGO took me, like my "rich dad", to their work meetings, which went beyond business: they sought to safeguard the nature of the Caribbean. So I learned that the life of luxury and prosperity could happen in harmony with nature and the environment..
During the same period of time, I found a foundation called Todo Con Amor, where I began to contribute selflessly and from the soul with my music. With its founder, Juan Manuel Espinoza, I learned about a new concept called Healing Music, and together we explore the deepest states of meditation and connection with the Universe. I was inspired, and continued to practice what my two mentors, rich father and mother, taught me about the power of manifestation through spirit. Wonderful ideas came to my mind, and I began to materialize them. On the one hand, I developed Nahua Yoga, which is a brand dedicated to preserving and innovating Mexican culture through Toltec Wisdom, Movement and Dreaming; concepts of American spirituality that had revolutionized my way of perceiving and interpreting life. On the other hand, after meeting one of my idols on personal motivation, Ricardo Perret, and become his friend, I developed bio-feedback technique (bio-feedback in its original language) to harmonize the heart with the brain. I called that technology Soul Sync®, and is used as essential support in my work.
So I decided to travel around the world to discover the formula to make societies work and lead them to prosperity without harming the environment. As best I could, I gathered the funds to pay for my flights, and a long journey began. Europe dazzled me with its amazing social and cultural system. I met wonderful people and amazing places. The culture showed me in results what happens when people are responsible, committed and honest. I also understood that wealth and abundance do not depend on money, but on a state of mind that it is mostly inherited in families as something you just have to accept.
So I landed in India, the cradle of Yoga and Hinduism. There I experienced various social systems that have nothing to do with Western thought, where people dedicated to spiritual practice are housed in institutions called Ashrams, where they can develop more aspects of their lives and experience liberation. I meditated alongside Rishis and Gurus, people with great political and personal power who promote collective awakening to keep peace on the planet. I learned about ancient music and its great power to reconfigure our human essence. I even knew a city called Auroville, where in an almost inconceivable way it was possible to build innovative and sophisticated infrastructure in harmony with nature and with spiritual foundations of acceptance of rights and universal thought. I learned that through compassion it is possible to live a life full of prosperity and harmony.
Back from this epic trip to my home country, I chose the town of Tulum for the type of tourism it attracted at the time. Being an artist in Tulum is a great merit that is very well compensated financially. I quickly adjusted to the town, as I was already used to all the geographical characteristics of the Riviera Maya. At this point my social circle began to change radically and I became a "cosmic family", which I call that because each member seemed to have been part of my life at some other time, but this time with refined attributes and qualities. All my personal work was bearing fruit, even my friends (who reminded me of close relatives) radiated states of consciousness with which I identified and felt resonance. This time what shook me was the abrupt change that Tulum society suffered because of money. As Tulum is a tourist area with a very peculiar niche, Bali or Ibiza style, not only money flowed in abundance, but also drugs and scammers. In a short time, terrible crimes were being committed every night, and unions of transporters and merchants were organizing to establish unfair prices for everyone, including Mexicans themselves. Added to this, the issues of water treatment in the town and hotel zone showed deficiencies that seemed to matter to no one and that ended up contaminating pure and natural water deposits located in the subsoil. Tourists and inhabitants turning a blind eye to what was happening.
Almost miraculously, shortly before falling for a titanic deception related to organized crime, a friend of mine offered me a "Bufo Alvarius ceremony" which opened something new and different inside me. A clear sign that help energy had to be brought to a particular place very close: the Bacalar lagoon.
And this is exactly where I am today. In the mythical lagoon of Bacalar, where the Stromatolites, which are the oldest living beings that have seen the evolution of life, are risking extinction. The spirit of these beings is the color blue, it is peace, clarity and purity. Together with a complex ecosystem of organisms, the Stromatolites maintain the dazzling colors of the lagoon and purify the air like no other plant can. I am here because music and love can help raise awareness about these beings and prevent them from being destroyed by tourists and local people. Here I am learning that collective challenges such as the ecological and social balance are issues that, when treated with attention and will, can give profound meaning to our lives. The medicine to heal is not only to be aware, but to have the courage to do or stop doing something to heal. That is why we started our organization Beings in Consciousness.
"We will not be able to pilot our Spaceship Earth for much longer, unless we understand that it is a single ship, and that our destiny is common. We have to be all, or we will be none.“
If you've got this far, I can only say THANK YOU. I hope with all my heart that my story inspires and motivates you so that you can manifest the life you dream of and that, I am sure, you deserve. Consider leaving a donation for the foundation Beings in Consciousness, where we take care of bringing awareness to the world.
